Stars and Stripes and Viva Mexico

I am finally getting around to updating our blog from the holiday weekend. It has been a busy and fun couple of weeks. For the Fourth of July we headed east to the lake house. My first stop was to see my friends in Tyler. It was the first time I have been back since we left and it was so great to see everyone! And lunch at Don Juan's was the icing on the cake! We didn't get around to see everyone we wanted to, so we will need to make another trip soon.

David loved meeting all his new friends. It is amazing what can happen when you leave for a couple of months.

Next, we headed to the lake for the weekend. Lots of family, fun, swimming, and eating. Here are a couple pics from the weekend of some quality father and son time! Here he is getting his first fishing lesson.

Aaron, Roscoe and Willy having some lake fun.
Finally, Justin and I left for vacation in Cabo. We love Cabo...We went there for our honeymoon and a couple years later with a group of friends. We stopped by some of our favorite restaurants and made some new favorites. But mostly, we enjoyed a little R & R! Needless to say, vacations aren't quite the same when you have a baby at home that you miss, but we knew he was in good hands with Grammy, Pop and Aunt B! Here we are the first night eating dinner at our favorite restaurant, Edith's.

Our days looked pretty much like this...laying on lounge chairs by the pool with a book and a great view of ocean. Every once in a while we would break away to jump into huge waves.

Relaxing by the Sea of Cortez.
Our last night in Cabo after dinner. A great trip, but we were both ready to get home to our baby boy!

Cabo looked like so much fun! Yeah, vacations really aren't the same when you know you've got fat babies at home to squeeze!! Welcome to our world! :) We've been doing it for 6.5 years, but it does get easier once you can call and they can talk to you on the phone! Miss y'all....
